About Me

Hello, welcome to Cashea Photography! My name is Emilie McHale and I live in Guilderland, NY with my Husband, 2 boys, and 2 dogs. Besides being, what feels like a ring master at home, I am the one woman show behind the lens at Cashea Photography. If you ask anyone, I find the time to do all the things! I absolutely love being a mom and can't stress enough to do the things! Take the trip, get in the picture, have a "yes" day...have the fun!! 

 

 If I’m not at the hockey rink, football field, or baseball field, you can find me traveling, playing pickleball, reading,  hiking, crafting or any adventure that seems fitting and convincing! True crime, coffee and halloween are three of my favorite things!  

 

I have always loved photography, often capturing the many wonders while I traveled or studied abroad. From a disposable, to a Nikon...I have always had a camera on hand!

When I was pregnant with our oldest son in 2013, I knew I wanted to capture his newborn images that would hang on our walls, and that is where the love for newborn photography began. (The picture still sits on my dresser to always remind myself where I started)! I just love everything about photographing newborns and children.  Capturing those first moments: the tiny toes, squishy rolls, and sweet smiles is so rewarding to be able to give that to another parent to treasure. Being able to infuse my creativity into sessions is everything, especially with fun first birthday sessions! 

 

I am a posed portrait newborn photographer, meaning my style is classic, focusing on the baby, using techniques and education I have acquired through master classes and in person newborn workshops. I provide all of the props, wraps, headbands, outfits etc for the newborns. This often is ideal for new parents (one less thing to stress about). If there is something special to the family, we always can incorporate it as well!

 

When it comes to family portraits, I always ensure we have fun! The posed images are great but the laughter, unposed, is authentic and magical!

Being outdoors, shooting the golden hour, capturing the laughter, the personalities (big and little!), allows me to freeze time for you...and this is all by design! I'm a mother who knows full well the WHY! I will also always encourage moms to get in front of the lens!! My overall goal is for your experience (from booking  with me to the gallery delivery) to be enjoyable and stress free!
